JENNIFER RUMINSKY | Assistant Manager

I was born and raised in Bloomington, Minnesota. Ever since I was little I have had a passion for animals but growing up in the middle of a city made it difficult for me to get involved with anything bigger than my dogs. My first experiences with horses were the trail rides my girl scout troop took but it was enough to get me hooked. Several years later I met a friend who had her own horse and after the day she invited me out to her barn I was all about horses. I started taking lessons twice a week (which continued for many years) and absolutely loved everything about riding, training and the equine industry in general.

I have been riding for about 10 years now and have had instruction in saddleseat, hunt seat, and western. Never having a horse to call my own has given me a very broad scope on many different ages and breeds since I have generally taken any chance I can get to ride. I am grateful for this particular set of challenges because I feel like it's made me a more well rounded rider.

Once I started college I was able to pursue my equine career as something more than a pastime. I went to South Dakota State University for a year an a half and while there I became very involved in their horse unit. I then transferred to Colorado State University to take advantage of their amazing Equine Science program. My time at CSU helped me gain a lot of hands on experience and also led me towards an internship at KeSa Quarter Horses.

This past May I graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelors degree in Equine Science and a minor in Business. In my post college job search I came across Remuda Run and when Tennessee offered me a job working with the horses I was struck by just how perfectly it fit my aspirations. I could not have asked for a better working environment than this ranch and I am very excited to continue to expand my knowledge of all things Equus caballus.
